History of Connecticut AFP

For over 30 years, we have been providing a forum for the exchange of ideas. Originally called the Fairfield County Cash Manager’s Association, (FC-CCM) with 50 members serving the Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY. In 1995, the name was changed to the Fairfield County-Treasury Management Association (FC-TMA).  In 2014, our name was changed to align itself with the AFP and hence called the Fairfield County – AFP with 40 members strong. Along with the name change, we opened our membership to bankers and vendors. And, we negotiate a reciprocal agreement with NEAFP whereby any member of the two organizations can attend the other’s meetings free. In addition, we opened up free membership to those unemployed and retired as well as any student attending an accredited college studying business/finance/accounting.

Renamed the Connecticut AFP, we continue to provide germane topics in finance/treasury as well as an opportunity to network with practitioners and bankers. Our meetings allow for recertification credits approved by the AFP.
